Prior to the Wrath of the Lich King, was a one-dimensional aspect of World of Warcraft. The Outlands had a few simple tasks like retaking Haala or killing opponents and taking the towers or beacons in Zangarmarsh, Hellfire or the Terokkar Forest. Achievements, lower level requirements for mounts, less XP to get to the higher level content and a slew of events held throughout the year all add a great deal of depth to the WoW universe.
